Gemma Paramor

Gemma joined the team in 2016 having spent over 11 years as a global equity research analyst at Newton Investment Management focused on the healthcare sector. At Veritas, she continues to provide leadership on healthcare investments, as well as contributing to research and investment stewardship activities more broadly. Gemma chairs the Work Experience Group, which is responsible for internal initiatives promoting social mobility within the financial services sector.

Given Gemma’s background and interest in healthcare and science, she has held the role of Lay Member on the UK Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) since 2013. SACN is an expert committee providing nutrition advice to the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities and other government departments.

Gemma began her career at KPMG during which time she qualified as a chartered accountant and became a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Gemma holds an MA (Oxon) in Biological Sciences.
