Transparency is part of our effort to ensure our company operates responsibly. We started reporting against the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standards for the first time in 2021. The SASB framework defines industry specific metrics that are considered material to our long-term sustainability, which we will disclose annually.
We are a carbon neutral company, committed to recycling and reducing waste, as well as using local suppliers to minimise our carbon footprint.
Every year we share our knowledge and experience through our work experience weeks
and paid internship programs. We value different perspectives in our business, and this is
one of the reasons why we expanded our program in 2019 by partnering with the Social
Mobility Foundation.
We have partnered with The Good Bee Company who are first and foremost a peoples company working to make the world a little greener and a lot more pollinator friendly.
They use the Honeybee as the central focus of everything they do, as they believe if they can encourage people to help keep the honeybee healthy, this in turn will help the environment.
In 2019 they started working with Belham Primary school teaching children the importance of the environment and the part played by bees and pollinators. This year with the help from our sponsorship they have been able to supply the school with its own bee hives and webcams which are being used as teaching aids covering DT, Science, Art and English.
As long-standing advocates of the national living wage and an equal opportunities employer, we have been signatories to the national living wage since 2014.
Our team take part in many fund-raising activities and volunteering, from running marathons and 5k’s, to baking cakes and donating their time and expertise. Veritas supports a number of charities every year with donations in areas of need which are important to our team and our clients.
We have partnered with The Sutton Trust where we welcomed school age students for an insight day to give them a broad view of our team and how we work together.
